yay. we went to the new second church building just across the road for youth service today. some tonga woman called kia-see, who was one of the first tongans to go on missions outside tongan communities. she went to india. so there was this series of questions and a whole lot of other stuff. it was quite interesting. about muslim cults and stuff.

after lunch, my parents fetched me to sitex as i looked around while they changed at home. it was boring, because i had already been there yesterday. so my parents brought me to visit my maternal grandma in some home for the aged. its a christian home, and quite well-mantained. the zoo and garden are especially nice. so we brought grandma out to the garden and to see the flats across the streets. :S then it was dinner time for them. AT FOUR PM!!! thats worse than when we went to zhi wen's house for class gat.

oh well. so we said goodbye and left. and i went to shi bao's house. as usual, my mum bought some fopodstuffs to give to sb's grandma, and as usual, she seemed happy to see me. :S maybe shi bao is lonely at home. hahas. anyway, we started off with gta3. he's still trying to find the last 3 hidden packages. and with a laptop as his, i can say that it'll take quite long. good luck sb, you'll need it.

then we played two games of pokemon tcg, in which for the first time in my pokemon carreer, i actually didn't lose to him. bwahaha. with only one kingdra, i destroyed his whole army of pokemon. yay. kingdra is good. then we tried playing the worms 3d demo. its so screwed. so hard to control. i think armageddon is better.

then we played tcm using the swiss league. i took fc luzern, cos thats my fave city in sui, sb used the weirdest team he could find, young boys. :S. there were three parts to the whole thing. in the first part, sb was around 2nd and i was 11th. then it was dinner time. i didn't really want pizza cos it was a waste of money, but his grandma kept insisting, as she does whenever im around, so in the end we took the christmas pizza. it sucks. but any pizza is good. it was more of hawaiian pizza with honey than a christmas pizza. it didnt even have mint. but the breadsticks and drumsticks were good.

the 2nd part started after dinner, in which i was around 8th, and sb was around 2nd. the 3rd part and best part started when my parents came to visit his grandma and ghrandpa and basically everyone. we two stayed in the room. i got 2nd, and sb was 6th. bwahaha. my best match was 4-0. yay. go luzern go! then i lost to basel fc, and went down to 4th. then i went home cos it was 1030pm.

we had a quick supper, and headed home. yay. today was fun day. next week will be quite busy. i hope im prepared.

went for eds annual general meeting today. a lot has been planned for next year, including a trip to some faraway place. and a lot of plays. sounds like it's gonna be a busy year.and there's lot going on during the holidays. until today, we thought that the agm was the only thing we had for eds during this period of time. but then now theres cny, eds nite, video club and lots of other stuff. haiz. soinds like i wont get the rest i wanted. but i guess it'll be fun.

we went to kfc after that. haha. aaron and yvonne were scavengers. they took all the bones and stuff from me. but i had some chicken meat left on the bones, so i jus gave it to them. after a few roundss of the strategy-maths sort of game, in which i lost 3 times, i left to go to sitex. yay. with eugene. but at least it was not as bad as comex or pc show. this time i only got 1 cm thick of stuff. i received 2 cm thick of stuff in comex. although this exhibition was a bit smaller, it was much better. they gave out lots of stuff, and borchures and freebies. i got a free comp game, a msn notebook, a computer directory, a computer directory cd rom and other stuff. like magazines. my fave is the msn notebook. the msn butterflys look so cute.

while eugene and his parents went to get thier cable connection, which i can get once my singnet contract ends next year, i went to the mrt to wait for my parents and auntie. remind me nvr to use singnet again. we went for dinner at some english cafe. the irish stew was real good. and the sirloin steak was good too. yummy. oh well, its almost time for me to sleep. byez

today, i conquered all of the old world. from china to italy, france to persia. i am unstoppable. in age of empires ii that is. sadness. i have been genghis khan, joan of rac, saladin, and the great baborossa, but yet, all i have is this small house in the suburban area of tampines. but at least i got a computer. i bet they din't have much fun getting themselves killed.

i did nothing much beside that, read a few books, watched a few kiddy shows (rugrats is good) and trying to persuade my parents to get me that cdrw drive tmr, at only 59 dollars. i didn't pester them, and as usual, they said that they would "see how". oh well.

its fun, during the holidays. but when you've finished yout homework during the first week, and completed all your computer game missions, you start having the urge to go back to school. but the holidays been a good rest. it's week 4, and the hols are ending in 4 weeks time. i wish it would last longer.

high noon

took late morning train to bedok. met nicole at the station. we went to the library together. she fell asleep and i was looking at the trees. then amanda and wen quan came and wen quan whacked nicole on her head. she woke up. haha. then we went down to cafe galilee. we discussed about class gathering.

i can't tell the details here, it's sorta a mystery. but all i can say is that it might actually be quite fun. me and nicole had potato chunks while the others tried to grab some from us. after discussion, we went up to read books. i read a few comp books, the others read comics. after that, not long after js met us, we went to play basketball. visa and sharan and her bro came. i played for a while. and after abc, in which amanda got a huge stroke of luck, and js a huge stroke of luck then an airball which made him go back to the start, i went home because i had some weird stomache and wanted to played age of empires. not because i missed zw or some other gay stuff they said.

well... i finished the joan of arc campaign. yay. im about to conquer europe. haha. well, ill go back to that now.

"as long as i have xp"

just for fun, eugene came to my house today. at first we tried to install some edo-ram into my comp. it didnt work. damn, im stuck here with a comp with win 98se, 64 ram, 32 video, a 48x cdrom, 30 gb hdd, and lots of other lousy stuff. damn. then we tried playing gta3. loading was quite good. but gameplay, was like bullet time in the matrix. you could actually see the bullets moving at 1 cm/s. i will never play gta3 on this computer again.

we had two bowls of soup and sausage bread for lunch, and after visiting the computer game shop opposite, we walked a bit and then gave up walking and took 65 to his house. we played empires dawn of the modern world, empire earth, and gta vc. empires is the best of all rts for its graphics and video, and the missions and gameplay is not that bad, but rise of nations has more civilisations and empire earth spans a longer time period. i'll just stick to star wars galactic battlegrounds.

then his comp screwed up. i guess windows xp is not that stable. his dad said windows 98se is so far the most stable, so maybe i shall stick to it for a while. in the end, i ended up helping him backup information, reinstalling xp and when that failed, created a boot disk. phew. at least his comp is back to life.

i also need to reinstall win 98. its gonna screw up very soon. i can feel it. so im getting a cdrw drive for christmas, and ill backup everything, and reinstall EVERYTHING. yay. hopefully it'll last longer.

and there's also sitex. i'm gonna look out for better computer deals. yup. i'll need a new computer very soon. and a cdrw drive. so i hope ill find good offers over there.

i went for some music course for praise and worhsip thing in church today. i choose drums, and in the end, i managed to get most of the basics right. but i can't play that well. drums are nice, but they're a bit loud, so i'll stick to the piano. i leanrt part of a third piano piece: the first part of the midi i have on this blog. yay.

i did nothing much after i reached home at 5. i watched sound of music with my dad. its quite a nice show. very musical, as the name suggests.

i guess i'll go blog-hopping now.

supposed to have gone to escape theme park today, but it was cancelled at the last minute because only 4 people were going. so me and yong han were stranded in white sands with nothing to do until grace came. after walking around pasir ris town park to see the prawn pond and playground and fitness corner. it was jus boring. we had nothing to do.

so yong han went home when his mum called, and me and grace went to the library. but in between that time was 1 1/2 hours, in which i spent playing in the arcade, looking aroudn ntuc with grace, and waiting for the library to open at 11. she borrowed 4 books, i borrowed 1 book on hardware. and read some sick book on teenage boys. it used a lot of sick words and talked about sick stuff. but the cover was nice. it was silver. and it was shiny.

we had lunch together, i took some hot chocolate which was really nice. we both read two books each then bade farewell and left for home. except that i didn't go home. i went into the computer shop, which was like challenger in 5 times less the space. argh. i still can;t take my eyes off rise of nations and gta vice city. they're just so good. why must my computer do this to me?!

anyway, i spent the rest of the day shooting down japanese planes, and planning my new computer. since amanda's dad said that he specialised in troubleshooting and software, i decided to go to my 2nd option, a shop called DiX technology pte ltd in sim lim square. they gave a pretty good promotion during comex 2003. after configuring, i can buy a new computer at my favourite configuration at -only- $1406. and that's without monitor. i guess its the best promotion in town so far. ill get it sometime in december or january.

to those who are asking me about the class gathering, i can only say that we, well not we, those who had planned, have planned quite well, but things are not going the way as they expected. so it might take a while.

hiya! boring day. church in the morning, grandauntie's funeral in the afternoon, and a tour of the orchard lights, as my parents call it, in the evening. the lights are quite nice this year, considering the low budget they had because of the low economy. my favourite was the ck tang and centrepoint decor. you should see it for yourself. well, this is mark, signing off.

i think i want to start learning how to play the piano. i had only one day in an official course and that was how to draw the stuff, and one day in an unofficial "course", in which my classmates thought me the keys. now i want to play a few nice piano pieces, but i only can play one key at a time, which brings me disadvantages. but then i might be too old to start a whole new piano course. i guess i'll learn how to play the piano using a midi keyboard and getting used to the keys, like in touchtyping.

me, darren, audrey, zhi wen, yong han, amanda and victor went to st hilda's today. we sold the rest of the hot dogs today. it was really fun. and they sold quickly. then we went out and sold the last few of the string pens. we managed to sell all but one. i think the string pens are very unique, and they're really pretty. haha.
everything i say is lame to amanda. haiz. even simple comments.
zhi wen and darren left early, and they missed the best part of the day. mrs choo treated us to kfc. we wanted to pay, and made two plans to return her the money, buit when plan a failed, mrs choo knew what we were doing, and then she carried her handbag everywhere so that we couldn't stuff money in. :( in the end, we gave up and just had a fun lunch and talked about stuff. it seems that compared to last time, nowadays we talk about more "serious" matters, like bgr and stuff. oh well.
and questions. i have taken nicole's advice,
mrs choo went home, and we visited the arcade. yay. i love arcades. we raced again, and victor crashed into me at the last second to prevent me from being champion. hmmph. after the second game of racing, in which i came in 2nd again, i had 2 tokens left, and the others had none, so they watched me play time crisis 2. i believe i can say that my shooting i rather accurate, or i've improved, because this time i got past area 2. yay.
but it doesnt seem to be working.
we played at the iq shop for a while, then i went home with yongo. hooray. fun day.
i shall work on it. thanks nic.

yay! today was a exhuasting, exhilarating, and emotional day. sort of. st hilda's fun fair was so fun. we went real early at 815. surprisingly, all the stalls had been set up already. p6gep had four stalls, i think, i was the string pens, spicy fried rice, and brownies stall, the other sold drinks and eclairs, a hot dog stand, and of course, a lan gaming centre.

the events of the fun fair were all mixed up, but i remember some stuff. i shall organise the stuff then.

the string pen business was going on quite well, with yongo and a few others walking over the whole school selling them. orders came in quite quickly. but towards the end of the day, sales dropped, and we were left with about a dozen extras. and they had bought about 50 pens for today. we had used 50+ from the start of the holidays. i guess we need more foresight. i bought 3 pens altogether, costing me 7 dolars altogether. i had a orange and black one with MARKETH on it, by darren, and a blue and green one with MARKIST on it, by zhi wen and grace. it's really nice. thanks guys.

the lan gaming centre was really crowded, it attracted LOTS of people, but the school comps' graphic cards suck, but the internet connection is wow. you can download at 500kb/s. damn. i guess its cable. poor me. i guess cs and lf2 is quite nice, but i still prefer gta and rise of nations. gta is much more realistic. and rise of nations can at least educate you while having fun. cs is just a game to see your friends die and stuff.

the eclairs from the next stall were really nice. they were soft and sort of melted in your mouth, and were as cold as ice cream. but beard papa beats them all. the stall faced strong competition against another stall who sold more drink at the same price. i don't know how the other stall could afford it. :S

and finally, the "funnest" stall of the day. the hot dog stand. a classic replica of old fashioned hot dog stands you might still find in america. it was simple. a hot dog bun, with a hot dog, and you could add ketchup, cheese, chilli sauce, and good old meat sauce. i tried one with meat sauce. yummy. i chose to spend an hour helping out at this stall. they were selling fast. every minute there was at least 1 customer. we expected to finish at 230, but there were more customers, and we ended at 3 with our final customer. darren accidently poured "sausage soup" which is not that nice.

i don't think he liked it. after washing up and stuff, we went to tampines mall. at last. a nice day at the arcade. yay. i won nicole at both daytona and podracing. i guess i'm a better driver than her. :P . then we played air hockey. i won the match pairing up with sharan against yong han and amanda. haha. i made one or two accurate shots. yay. then we lost badly when i paired up with yongo against amanda and sharan. :(. but they cheated. or rather, some people were so intent on playing that they helped them, and used their hands, which are much more accurate then pucks, and naturally, we lost. haiz.

then some went back, and only me, darren, amanda, nicole and joanne were left. after some drumsticks at seoul garden, we visited toys r' us. i believem it was the most unplesant part of the day. i shan't go into it, but i will just say that it left me hurt, and that joanne's words finally got into me.

so there, a day of mixed emotions, fun, and exhuastion. i pray, that there will be better days ahead of me.

nothing much done today. just read lots of star wars. and some other stuff about monty python and star wars. haha. tomorrow might promise to be a fun day. mini fun fair at shps.

yesterday was quite fun. i played pokemon until pokemon mansion on cinnabar island. then joanne called an informed me that other people were going to amanda's house to make the pen things. i tried unsuccessfully at making one of them before giving up. oh well. i guess i give up too easily. sigh.

then we played captain's ball and volleyball and a bit of soccer before the rest went home. so me, amanda, joanne and abel were left. we talked for a while about some weird stuff, then me and joanne went for dinner at some coffeeshop. we talked and talked until she finished, then i walked off into the twilight.

today was a rather expensive day. the whole family, including my relatives, had a S$300 lunch at raffles town club's japanese restaurant. i think that's the most i ever spent on a meal, except for some other celebrations. i took soft shell crab, crayfish, scallop, crab, lobster, salmon, cod, sashimi and some sushi. no wonder we spent so much.

as if we hadn't spent enough money for the day, the family spent another 50 bucks on bowling. i spent 10 dollars in the arcade alone. wow. and with my cousin, we spent 20 dollars. so altogether was like 380 dollars. how fun.

while my parents were away at orchard road wasting money on buying clothes which i don't even wear, my aunty brought me to heartland mall (again), and spent 50 dollars on food for me. there was pancakes, sushi, roasted chicken, coconuts and other stuff. thanks.

of course, you've gotta live each day as your last. so we spent a lot today. as if that was a good excuse. oh well... i shall try and persuade my parents for that new computer. or something. actually, i think this computer can last well into next year. but most of my friends already have got *holy aura* WINDOWS XP *holy aura*. haiz...

i was just reading nicole's blog. she was talking about flamming. i think it means like being agry with people and insulting them. like darren and some blah person does. some blah person is -screwed-. darren just wanna express his feelings. but i guess he shouldnt use bad words like "f-u-c-k-i-n-g bitch" on his blog. it might actually hurt someone else's feelings. i hope i'll never need to "flame" anyone on my blog. i'll just try and help them to change, like some other people should.

Saturday, November 15, 2003

yay. today was an unusual day. after a breakfast or cereal, dad sent me to school. they were all playing the piano, and after a few seconds of basketball, nicole, darren, mun yi and some other weird people were trying to teach me how to play the piano. i think i've got the basics right. i also learnt how to play my second piano song, the simple chopsticks. it sounds happy. here's a picture of the stuff i learnt, generally where the keys are and their counterpart flats and sharps:

C D E F G A B

then we were on our way to ite macpherson. me and shi bao were playing pokemon tcg on the bus until we reached, i think i had a draw with him. the irs exhibition booths were quite nice. shps only had one and dhs had 2, one was david the birdguy's, and the other was ernest the screecher's. disappointing. but considering the size of the whole exhibition, about a large room, it was quite a reasonable amount of booths.

the irs presentation was boring. but at least we learnt something instead of killing people in gta. after the whole thing, me, terence, shi bao, ziluo, davin and hui yi went to heartland mall for lunch. shi bao and ziluo gave in to the allurements of yoshinoya beef bowls, while me and the others resisted temptation, and had a decent meal at macdonalds. when we went back to yoshinoya, we found that the two guys had deserted us. so we spent a half hour going around heartland mall, until amanda, darren, js, and yvonne arrived.

then we spent another half hour looking around until it started to rain. then amanda went home for some piano thing, and me, hui yi, darren, yvonne and the rare species of js, took 80 to toot's house. a whole afternoon was spent on monopoly, scrabble, taiti, pokemon tcg and of course, watching rugby. new zealand was really off form, and lost to australia 22-10. haiz. zhi wen and amanda must be crying together now. darren won his bet with zhi wen and will be getting $2. damn. should have betted too.

i feel pity for the all blacks. they should have won. they put up a really good defence during the last few minutes. oh well. i'm supporting australia during the finals. in the end, after such a fun day, we took 24 home, and finally, the lost boy 2, more commonly known as the rare js, returned to it's natural habitat.

i just completed my wooden rsaf f-16 model. yay. i got it at the open house. it's nice.

Friday, November 14, 2003

today was fun. i went to eugene's house in the afternoon with shi bao, jeremy and zi luo. we played gta vice city and pokemon tcg and fifa 2002 for an hour or two. zi luo driving is incredibly amazing. he managed to drive a car on two wheel for two seconds before it exploded and he died. haha. then i broke my record. i managed to stay alive with 6 stars, the highest wanted level, for half an hour or an hour, (time freezes when you play gta) until i made a sucide move outside and a tank run over me. damn. it was stupid.

the three gay ones (sb, js and zl) then left to play counter strike. so i was left with eugene. so we played gtavc and rise of nations until 4:45. we went to eat at macdonalds. mc pepper is really, really hot, especially when you have no water. i think i'll try it out again some other day. i had to drink cold coffee from 7-11 to cool my tastebuds.

then we continued our conquer the world campaign. now we have scandinavia and the ural mountains. haha. we rock. -ego- i think now i can get rise of nations and take it on myself. eugene's dad was offering me more computer ram because he didn't need it anymore. it's some edo-ram thing. i hope my comp can work on it. i am seriously lacking in ram. its the only problem i have with my computer. haiz. i still have to wait to january to get my new comp. and it'll be the start of school already.

speaking of school, today is the official start of the original primary school version of the school holidays. poor kids. we had 2 weeks more. bwahaha.

A GUIDE TO USING THE SIMS FOR WHAT IT'S NOT MEANT TO BE USED FOR.
- the darren and nicole way-
-compiled by mark heng-

1) create a whole family of weird people called the stravs. create a hippie guy called jeremy strav, a old lady called mark heng, a sexy woman with large boobs called sb, a not so sexy woman called nicole, and a boy who can play the piano really well called darren. give them no personality points at all.

2) build a big house full of windows so that everyone can see you in the toilet and bedroom, and have a nice garden with a fountain in the middle of the house. make rooms for everyone and make one room specially for sb and jeremy to do stuff in.

3) in that room, put a love-vibrator bed. no. not the toilet bowl. the sick sick bed where you see people do sick sick stuff.

4) after a day or two. if everything goes fine and if you have gotten jeremy and sb to fall in love, make them play in bed.

5) if it's successful, a baby boy will be born. (if it's a girl, kill it, there's no use). name it leemingway, soon to become the world's first pregnant man.

so there you have it. in 5 easy steps, you can use the sims for what it's not meant to be used for.

i woke up early to go to amanda's house with nicole, shi bao, darren and wen quan to plan for the class gathering. in the end i don't think we planned much, but after his suggestion of "nocturnal entertainment", i don't think jeremy will be in charge of schedule anymore. i forgot what i was in charge of.

lunch was of spagetthi/spaghetti and some weird chocolate drink, which could have been milo, and 4 episodes of pokemon first series. haha. pokemon is so funny and nice. then we all took 72 to hougang. darren finished off my pen on the bus. it says ".:MARKETH:." in orange on a blended purple background on an orange pen. i think it's real nice. thanks darren. i paid $3 bucks for it. so anyway, amanda dropped off at the sports hall for some volleyball tournament and we continued.

after lots of swearing and "adventure" in the middle of nowhere in hougang, we finally reached shi bao's house. then nicole and darren started a "the sims" game, and soon they were making a really crazy family with a crazy house. i was a grandma, darren was a kid who could play the piano well, shi bao was a sexy lady, nicole was a bathroom stripper and jeremy was a hippie. haha. it was really funny. especially the sick part when shi bao got pregnant after he did some stuff with jeremy in what i call the love bed. i guess you know what happened.

i lost to jeremy in pokemon trading card game. i guess i lost my "touch", if i even had one. i lost to him when i was about to kill him, then he used this really sneaky card and killed my last pokemon standing. damn. in the end, after amanda didn't show up in 2 hours, we took 27 back home. 27 from hougang to tampines is one of my favourite bus trips. especially in the evening. it's so romantic. but not when jeremy's sittin next to you. i love evenings. and sunsets. i need a photo of lake lucerne at sunset for my desktop wallpaper. the trip back to tampines has lots of trees and stuff, very countryside-like.

ah well, one has got to dream. i guess i need a long holiday in switzerland or america or some countryside type country. it would be so nice. so i ate kaya bread on the way, and i reached home at dusk, when the final ray of light is overcomed by the darkness of the night.

today was a fun day. darren called to ask if i would like to play squash. of course i would. but i had to learn first. so after we all met at pasir ris mrt, we took a long hike through the least-modern or ulu place of pasir ris, to priscilla's house. after a short drink and some gossip, the court was open, and we started playing.

as usual, i was bad at first, but i soon got the hang of it. but being in squash as a cca, joanne and priscilla were much better than me. so far i think i'm the same as darren. we played until 6, with short breaks in between, and then, me, joanne and darren took some elias green bus to century square. we met sharan on the way, so me and darren followed her, and joanne went home becos she had to. after trailing sharan around until she finally told us where amanda, nicole, hui yi and yuhui were, we met up with them at toys r us.

it seems amanda was upset/pissed because she wasn't invited for squash, but i guess it was because she had volleyball, so darr didnt call her. so she took "revenge" and made an shopping trip with nicole, hui yi and yuhui. oh well. darren and her were arguing all over again. they're really loggerheads. i kept quiet. i hadn't said much throughout the day. so in the end, we just went home, with amanda and darren upset with each other. but they'll patch up quickly. so now i'm doing some 1K thing for cap. maybe i post it up somewhere when i'm done.

i downloaded press the green button's four songs. it some official band for windows xp media center edition. the lyrics suck, becos they're promoting the software and stuff, but the music is really good.

i have a new list of things to do. because the other list deemed too impossible:

1) do the chinese letter from the chinese book report thing. i don't even get what the question means, i'll ask someone.

2) modify the blog template to make it more "cool".

3) start on my second cap piece for the holidays, using my latest idea. i finished the first piece yesterday, it's about the end of the world.

4) if conditions allow, build a helicopter model with working propellers.

5) *insert load of other useless stuff here*

6) do something useful. seriously.

so there, i have finished the second list. i guess i'll finish the stuff in a week. this week. and windows codename "longhorn" is coming out next year. heck, i'll just get windows xp. longhorn sounds sick anyway.

today was fun. i woke up early and went for breakfast with the transition speech speakers at macdonalds. there was zhi wen, derrick, darren, gabriel, joanne and priscilla, grace, audrey and shih ee. i had 2 and a half sausage muffins (i bought one, zhi wen gave me the free one he got with his meal, and half was force-fed). then we went into st hilda's and gave the transition speeches. it was more like a question and answer session.

in the end, i think we just scared the p6's. sec sch isnt as bad as we made it to be. it's quite fun. we talked a lot of crap and stuff. so anyway, we helped out with gep project day and then played captain's ball. haha. it was fun. then we went to century square to do those pen string things. i didnt try. dont want to ruin them. it was quite a good day...

i have finally lost faith in dell. i will get my new computer, if i ever get one, from a company at sim lim square, or from amanda's father. she doesnt even know where his shop is. so weird.

the new song on the is by joey ramone, called "what a wonderful world" and comes from the bowling for columbine soundtrack. it's been obtained legally from the bowling for columbine's soundtrack site. enjoy.

i guess this song ("why do i love you" by westlife) sums up my general feelings:

Why Do I Love You

Suddenly she's, leaving
Suddenly the, promise of love has gone
Suddenly, breathing seems so hard to do

Carefully you, planned it
I got to know just, a minute too late, oh girl
Now I understand it
All the times we made love together
Baby you were thinking of him

Why do I love you
Don't even want to
Why do I love you like I do
Like I always do
You should've told me
Why did you have to be untrue
(Love you like I do)
Why do I love you like I do

Ain't gonna show no, weakness
I'm gonna smile, and tell the whole world I'm fine
I'm gonna keep my senses
But deep down, when no one can hear me
Baby I'll be crying for you

Why do I love you
Don't even want to
Why do I love you like I do
Like I always do
You should've told me
Why did you have to be untrue
(Love you like I do)
Why do I love you like I do

Can't go back, can't erase
Baby, your smiling face, oh no
I can't think of nothing else but you
Suddenly

Why do I love you
Don't even want to
Why do I love you like I do
Like I always do
You should've told me
Why did you have to be untrue
(Love you like I do
Like I always do)

Why do I love you
Don't even want to
Why do I love you like I do
Like I always do
You should've told me
Why did you have to be untrue
(Love you like I do)
Why do I love you like I do

*end lyrics*

so yeah, i'll try to find a legal way of putting it up on the blog.

haha. dinner was sort of nice. my family went out and we had porridge and cod fish and omelette and some fat vegetable and crispy fish. it was nice. oh ya, and kaya bread too. haha. then we visited some church friend. my parents say he treats me as his grandson. he's very loving and kind and that kind of stuff. reminds me of santa. when we left he gave me a jar of manuka honey. he's sort of in the honey business. it's raw, so it's good for both consumption and treating wounds. i read about using raw honey to make wounds heal faster. so thanks to that guy. haha. today was quite nice...

yesterday was an extremely delicious day, if you can describe it that way. i woke up during lunch time, and darren called to ask if i would like to go with him and amanda for lunch at eastlink mall, the new-age shopping mall between the mrt station and the bus interchange. of course i agreed, i would never miss lunch with my friends. it was a simple lunch, but lunch with people you know can be quite interesting. the both of them had done those stringy pen things that we were going to sell at the shps fun fair. how fun. i think i'll buy one.

then amanda went for volleyball thing and me and darren met zhi wen. in the end, after some weird happenings, zhi wen went home for a rugby match, darren went to tpjc for his guitar lesson, and i ended up at the library reading xiao wang zi (Le Petit Prince). then i went to play the shooting game at century squaure. i didn't do too well because i was holding the little prince in my left hand. that sounds a bit weird. i mean the book. then suddenly i was at home completing my chinese book report. now i only have the letter to the little prince and his rose left.

then for dinner, my father thought his birthday was yesterday, or saturday, when it was today, or sunday. so we went to sloane court, my favourite hotel restaurant with my favourite dish, the dish of the house of jehovah. (i wonder why the name is so long.) it's some seafood pie made from mashed potato, some nice fish, mushroom, prawns, asparagus and my favourite ingredient of all time: toasted/roasted/fried cheese. we actually spent $55.18 on dinner yesterday. i could have used that on age of empires ii. but it was dad's "birthday", so a little celebration is nice.

we reached home at 11, and while my parents were drinking milk tea and watching some indian-chinese ghost show, i was playing my best game of the sims ever (without cheats) i shan't tell you the fmaily members, or it might create some speculation, but i got promoted to counter-intelligence in the army. haha. i'm good.

anyway, happy brithday dad!!! and tomorrow i'm going back to shps for the transition speech thing. i hope everything goes fine.

today was a really, really fun day. but i still haven't done my chinese book report. :-(

darren's call in the morning woke me up. he said that some of them like joanne and nicole wanted to go ice skating. i wouldn't risk getting more blisters, even with socks on, and i still think i suck at ice skating, so i declined his offer, and decided to do something less harmful. like play violent games and the likes. in the end, i called shi bao to ask if i could come over in the afternoon, and because his grandma was eager to see me, as i hadn't visited for months already, she readily agreed. so shi bao went back to sleep, as usual, while i started to get ready for the day by watching blue's clues. yes. blue's clues is back. hooray.

my parents brought me on a 15 minute trip to changi village for another of their "traditional" breakfasts. a big bowl of soya beancurd, condensed milk and some other stuff was enough to fill me up for both breakfast and lunch, or rather, brunch, as they call it in some countries. we bought bananas and soya bean and grass jelly for shi bao's family, and left peaceful changi to enter the suburban community of hougang.

we arrived in sunny hougang. everything seemed so nice, and windy, and fuzzy all around. we took the lift up to the 18th floor, and the door to sb's house was already open. how funny. his grandma was glad to see my family, and my parents chatted with her for a while then left to visit some other friend. me and shi bao started the day by watching some of his useless flash thingies, like bicycle and you are a chef. then we watched bowling for columbine. it's a good movie, i shall elaborate a bit on it.

BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE
a documentary on the gun culture of america. the first part was really humourous. talking about guns and stuff. then came the deaths and injuries, and the hypocrisy and lies that more and more americans have been spreading to cover up their use of guns to murder. with 11000+++ shootings per year, while the average of other countries are just a mere 200, america is evil. the american goverment blame other countires for deaths, but looking at themselves, they've killed more people than any other countries. heck, it got me right in the heart. the columbine and flint shootings and other stuff were the evidence to this evilness. i can't go all day explaning the whole thing, get "bowling for columbine" from your local retailer, pek shi bao, or kazaa (lite k++).

the touching documentary (touching... :S) ended. and then ironically, we started shooting up people with guns in gta3. haiz... sb's graphics card is bad. simply bad. and he wasted $2400 on a laptop with only 20gb of hard disk memory, 256 ram and 32 video memory. i could have gotten better deals from dell. but the laptop looks real cool. its silver. so anyway, controlling cars and even walking is hard when you've got 32mb of video memory.

then terence entered the room. he had come from nowhere. so we continued gta3 until we got sick of it. then we played some worms world party. its funky. haha. i remade my aeroquile team, but this time with grandpa hussein, uncle simspon and other comical figures. my parents came to fetch me at 530. shi bao had given me a wireless mouse which is now useless to him, and lent me the sims. i'm gonna return both of them to him.

well, today has been a sort of meaningful and fun day, so far its been the best day of the first week of the holidays. i hope i finish my book report by this week.

today was weird. after a nice breakfast of half-boiled eggs (i don't enjoy hard-boiled eggs for some reason), toasted raisin buns with kaya bread, coconut shavings and red sugar thing (it looked more like fish roe) and some nice little sponge muffins cake thingy, my father brought me forth to face the terror of the report book. argh, *getting dramatic again, if you could say that*

a few people were there already. one could picture the tense situation. we were all talking about stuff when mdm john came down, from somewhere above (the sky or some office) she asked me and darren to paste photos into the report slips thingy. it was quite fun. actually, everyone was already looking at their scores and stuff, but i guess the teachers didnt mind. by the time the tables and books and others were set up, most people already knew what they had gotten. :S

i was expecting an a1 for the average, but i failed... to meet my -great- expectations. i won't place my scores here, they're too embarrasing. i only got 511/700 for overall (which is 73%, which is a2, but i won't go on). damn. i was hoping i got one of the top in the class, another of my impossible dreams (and really impossible when you got 3rd lowest last year), but at least i did much better than usual. yay. i'm in 2k, to the distress of some people as i believe i am not welcome to some of them. or something. at least i am more familiar with the people in 2k than 2L (generally).

now that all terror was over (sort of), me, amanda, nicole, nick, darren, yuhui, audrey, yun yuan and maybe few others which i might have forgotten in this state of my mind, went to tampines mall for lunch. we ate at macdonalds. as i had a cough and some other "minor" unknown conditions, i just took a cheeseburger and some fries and coke, sharing with nick. we met joanne, guan yu, aaron and tristan. guan yu gave nicole a preview of ginseng-lengyong substitute. (if that's how you spell it) of course it wasnt one of his major productions, like using everything he got from macdonalds into a drink, but mayo in coke is bad enough... right? :S

so our escapades in the tampines business centre continued. even though facing economic strains, we bought some a huge (and i mean it) load of pens for about 40 dollars, after using my handy-dandy popular card. oh well, another 10 bucks gone... only 40 left. after some stuff to do with bananas, pens and buses, we ended up in amanda's house tying strings to pens, in a rather nice manner. as i said before, i suck at craft, so i didn't want to risk the hard work the others had put in, i laid my hands off.

i went home.. a sad, lonely person. or rather because i was feeling sicker than usual. *sniff* i played on the computer, had some sweet herbal thing made from barley and soya beans and other stuff for dinner. oh well. since the suffering is complete, i can take a new turn, to complete the list of stuff to do during the holidays:

(possibility range: 1 (impossible) - 10 (possible)
THE LIST of
must-dos

1) finish the other half of chinese homework which i havent done, which is the book report. i plan to do it on "xiao wang zi" (the little prince), and should take only half an hour. (possibility 10)

THE LIST of
optional and others

1) somehow make plans for the new computer, like requirements and stuff. (possibility 9)

2) revamp my blog, or website (possiblity 6)

3) build a working model helicopter which can fly from a motor, styrofoam and other recycled stuff (possibility 2)

4) get the westlife album called "westlife" for no reason whatsoever. (possibility 4)

5) build a new computer (possibility 1)

6) do something useful (possibility 1)

*END LIST*

i addition i have the transition speech thing, eds general meeting and shps fun fair and other stuff. i guess i'll be busy during the holidays.

ok. i got this somewhere from a chat log with nicole, which are the results i got from all the spark tests i took that day:

PERSONALITY TEST
Like just 3% of the population you are a PROBER (DICF)--curious, passionate, driven, and probing. You're the kind of person who can't leave well enough alone. You have a very strong personality and a sense of adventure. And you'd rather go out and experience things for yourself than take someone else's word for it. Some people probably think you're a maniac. People have a hard time believing you.

DEATH TEST
i'll die on November 25, 2075. i'll live longer than shi bao, nicole (march 24, 2064) and eugene

GAY TEST
25% gay - less gay than nicole (65%) and shi bao (42%)

LOVE TEST
i'm 78% in love. :S how do you calculate how much you are in love with...

PURITY TEST
84% Pure!!! last year i was 98% pure. look what secondary school did to me.

DATEABLE TEST
67% dateable - ok. i don't know what this means.

FRIENDSHIP TEST
The Three Musketeers. The Three Amigos. The Three Horsemen of the Apocalypse? you belong, dude, you belong! Some people put their neck on the line for their friends; you put your ass on the line. And by the way, nice ass. People know they can count on you in a crunch, in a jam, and in other food metaphors describing times of desperation.

i'm 78% friend. how funky. i'm a good friend... :S

UN-telligence test
The subject shows an astounding level of intelligence, and his sense of observation is one of his best qualities. Considering this, he shows a lot of potential, but that's only part of the equation.

Finally, the subject displayed a poor (and a little bit boring) sense of humor, a godlike (and annoying) sense of morality, and a hot shot self-confidence. The balance of these three traits is important; high levels of confidence, medium levels of morality, and a good level of humor make for the strongest individuals.

i'm 61% un-telligent. seriously, i don't know what that means. i only understand the review thing.

then on thursday, judgement day, we have to come back to school to collect the report books. i hope i did well for this year, i've been working harder and most probably it'll pay off, i think. i hope i get an a1 for average. if not, then i will work harder, as boxer once said.

Windows
"win - dough - sssss"

Windows 95/98, (n): 32 bit extension and a graphical shell for a 16 bit patch to an 8 bit operating system originally coded for a 4 bit microprossessor, written by a 2 bit company that can't stand 1 bit of competition.

People say that if you play Microsoft CD's backwards, you hear satanic things, but that's nothing, because if you play them forwards, they install Windows.

today was a bad day. i have a blocked nose and body heat throughout the day because i ate too much heaty food yesterday while enjoying myself. i didn't do much, just read a few books, watched television and played on the computer. i hope i feel better tomorrow.

i think the supposed new computer i was going to get will have to wait till next year. although most people think that i'm rich and have enough money to throw away, i only get 5-10 bucks a day. and my parents are now tight on money, because if some of you don't remember, my father's company closed down, and we went for 7 months without income, using up at least $10000. although my dad got his former job back, he still makes only half of what he used to earn, but two orders are in his hands, and i hope he gets them. there's enough money to get me to university, but not enough to buy a new computer. hmmph. oh well, i shall wait until next year and see how things work out, and if God wants me to get the comp, i shall.

i don't know if today was good or bad, it wasn't normal for sure, so i will say that today, for me at least, was a day of mixed emotions. after church, of which there is nothing interesting to blog about, my parents broughr me to a small cafe they had discovered somewhere in the middle of roxy square. it was a quiet cafe, with not many customers, but the food they offered was simply good, homemade delicacies. with unique drinks like kiwi juice and honey, orange with egg milk and honey, and weird salad sandwiches, it was quite different from what i ate daily. and it was delicious.

i went home to play rogue spear, which i had found somewhere among the flood of cd's i have, and tried unsuccessfully to shoot even one terrorist before i was shot. how funky. it's better than counterstrike. then suddenly, while in the middle of being shot to smithereens, darren called to ask if i would like to play basketball with the usual group. by this time, my parents had reached home, and my father fetched me to eastpoint. by 5 pm, i was already at the basketball court, and soon after, amanda and darren reached. it was raining, but not very heavily, and we played abc until zhi wen came.

suddenly, we found out that amanda's bag had been strewn onto the nearby field, and when she went to retrieve it, she found out that her handphone and wallet had been stolen. poor girl. after a few minutes of trying to recover them, we gave up and her father came to fetch a very distressed amanda home, while me, darren and zhi wen went to eastpoint. after they had left for home, i went to the arcade. the arcade also had the shooting game thingy. this time, i got up pass the halfway line, to deputy inspector, with only one credit. how fun. then i stopped, and this old guy, who must have been at least 70, took over the game. and at that supposed age, he was really really good. he got up to inspector and completed levels that even i could not reach. wow, some people just have the enthusiasm.

my family had dinner at changi village, with onion omelette, a big fish and some mixed seafood vegetable thing. it was nice. then we went to this cosy western cafe which my parents also discovered and i had yorkshire pudding and vanilla milkshake. yay.

so today was a fairly good day, except for poor amanda getting her phone and wallet stolen. i hope somehow she'll solve the problem, and even get them back.

hooray!!! today is the start of the school hols. yay! i woke up at 12. i spent the day watching tv, playing on the computer, reading archie comics and reading war books. i spent some time modifying the blog template. tried to customise the scroll bars, but i found out no matter what, the template prevents anything from changing. damn. i think i shall redo the whole template.

at 7, the whole family, including some uncles and aunties and cousins, went to raffles town club to have dinner. i haven't been to raffles town club for a long time. dinner was delicious. we all took the buffet. and i took 3 plates of food. my relatives took at least 5 plates each. they're the greedy type. :P my favourite was the fried mussels and beef. they had a huge table of international dishes. but it was nothing compared to other dinners i had. but it was still good.

then i went to my uncle george's house. we watched the soccer match between manchester united and portsmouth. when i left at half time, the score was 1-0 infavour of man u. portsmouth played really well, and i think they had much more possession than man u, and they were offensive and decisive. but man u played slow and steady, and eventually some striker guy gave a big shot and the ball went through 3 defenders and the goalkeeper's legs. nice one.

today was a good start to the holidays. i wish everyone happy holidays.
